Celtic Morning Prayer
A faithful group have been joining together to pray using Celtic Daily Prayer for many years.
The group meets on zoom on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am.
The group will also start to meet in person at 10.30am on the first Saturday of the month at Jennifer Aickin’s house.
The zoom link, and Jennifer’s address, can be obtained from Garry in the church office and everyone is welcome.
Church Prayer Chain
We have a confidential prayer chain where specific prayer requests are shared and prayed for by those who wish to be included in the prayer chain emails.

GSUS Live ……
Could God be calling you to support young people in our local secondary schools?
Churches across West Norfolk are coming together to build a volunteer secondary schools chaplaincy team, creating new opportunities to support and encourage young people in our local schools, through the support of Together Norfolk, Churches Together, the Diocesan Children & Families Team and the CROWNS Trust.
The first opportunity to get involved will be GSUS Live, an engaging RE programme visiting secondary schools across King’s Lynn and West Norfolk this autumn. From there, the vision is to establish a long-term ecumenical chaplaincy team serving schools across our area.

Summer Wine Tasting & Food Pairing Evening – Friday 21st August – 6.30pm in Church
Tickets for the Summer Wine Tasting evening are now available. Tickets are £20 each and can be purchased from Steve or Sian Cook (email: cellarcook@yahoo.co.uk, mobile: 07501461909).
Funds raised will be for the maintenance of church buildings and churchyard.
Eco Church – Seeking your views
As you will be aware we are working our way (slowly) through the Eco Church survey. We have started with Land and Nature and making some positive progress but we would like to move on to a new section, which is to consider our teaching and worship related to nature, creation and the environment etc.
So far we I have gathered views and thoughts from the Ministry Team, but it we would like to include views, ideas and thoughts from a wider representation of people in the church. What would be involved?
What we actually do may depend exactly on how many people would like to get involved in thinking about this aspect of Church life and ‘green issues’, but it probably would be in the very least completing a questionnaire and having a chat with me etc. If we have a very keen group I may bring people together in a group for one or two sessions.

Big Butterfly Count
Celebrate the beauty of God’s creation by participating in the Big Butterfly Count from 17th July to the 9th of August.
Come and spend 15 minutes sitting in the churchyard counting and identifying the butterflies you see on a bright sunny day.
An identification sheet will be available in the church and there is a website where you can record your findings, but there will also be a board for you to let other people know what you have seen here in Heacham Parish Church surroundings. You can do your 15 minutes as many times as you like, or in different places like your own garden, or even on a walk around the church yard or elsewhere.
Why count butterflies?
- Why would you not want to celebrate these beautiful creatures!?
- Butterflies and moths are important parts of the ecosystem as pollinators and as part of the food chain.
- Sadly butterflies and moths have significantly decreased in numbers since the 1970s.
- Counting butterflies can be described as taking the pulse of nature.
- This is a way of contributing to knowledge and understanding of our natural environment.
